There are several ways to travel to Boulder and the conference venue at the University of Colorado from Denver International Airport (DIA). For comprehensive information about the airport and transport options see http://www.flydenver.com
Below are details on arriving by bus or car. See the airport website for taxis and shuttles.
Bus: The AB bus line provides a direct connection between DIA and the University of Colorado, that takes just over an hour. The cost is $9 one-way (cash only, paid to the bus driver when boarding). The bus leaves from the Transit Center at DIA, which is outside of the South end of the main terminal, and down the escalator. There is usually one bus per hour, leaving around 20 minutes after the hour (although during some times there may be more frequent runs). The complete bus schedule is available here
When riding the bus to the conference housing, get off at the Baseline & Broadway stop in Boulder, cross Baseline and walk to the dorm (indicated on the map below).
Car: Rental cars are available at DIA and also in the city of Boulder itself. If driving from DIA to Boulder there are two main routes.
- Fastest and most convenient is to take Pena Blvd to E-470N to US-36W which leads directly into Boulder — this route has tolls but you don’t need to stop to pay (you will receive a bill from your rental company in a few weeks).
- For a no-toll option, take Pena Blvd to I-70W to I-270W to US-36W, which leads directly into Boulder — this route usually has heavier traffic, but is about the same distance.
Once on campus, all the main venues for the meeting room, lunch, reception and banquet are within easy walking distance. The dorm rooms are also conveniently located by all venues. See the map below for a general layout of the conference. If driving to the meeting every day, or if you are in the dorms and have a car, parking passes will be available for purchase.
