Ballistic Lunar Transfer Phase 2

Stable Manifolds
In phase 2 of a Ballistic Lunar Transfer (BLT), the spacecraft approaches the halo orbit at EL2, but does not insert into the halo orbit. Instead, it then falls off of the halo orbit on a trajectory that "shadows" the unstable manifold of the EL2 halo orbit. The BLT is shown in blue, and the unstable manifold of the EL2 halo orbit is shown in red.
